Do my kids have to register?
Children under 16 are free, and do not need to register.
Kids are welcome to attend and there are even several kid-specific events scheduled, including a bicycle rodeo. The campground can get noisy at night though. There are folks drinking publicly and sometimes changing clothes pretty publicly. If these sound like things you might want to avoid, we recommend the Ridge Campground as it has playgrounds, showers, flush toliets, etc., making it a great spot.
Can I bring my dog/cat/parrot?
Due to the size of the crowds, we must ask you to please not bring your dog. Cat and parrot owners, use your best judgement.
Can I camp on Thursday night?
If you pre-registered for camping at DirtFest you are welcome to arrive after 3 p.m. on Thursday to set-up and settle in. All others the gate opens at noon on Friday
If I’m not riding the trails, do I still have to pay?
The ticket fee goes to cover the live music, permits, EMTs, vendors, insurance, etc. So, yes, anyone attending the festival must purchase a ticket, even if they are not riding.
How many tents can I set up in an RV site if I don’t have an RV?
You may set up as many tents, hammocks, and other sleeping apparati as the confines of your assigned site will fit. Note, no RVs, vans, trailers, pop-ups or other mobile quarters are allowed due to lack of space.
What will I eat?
Bring enough food and water for three days. There will be food vendors on site, but for limited hours. Bring cash to pay them!
