  • If you didn’t know Scud he was a well loved cycling ambassador hailing from the greater DC area. Scud brought his famous Scud Fries to the first Dirt Fest, this year we celebrate Scud’s memory with a ride and happy hour.

9 am: Group Ride – Redline Presents the Epic Ride.Print

  • Meeting At: Site 15 Houseboat
  • Duration: 6 hours
  • Only for the most physically fit! This ride features a houseboat shuttle, fresh coffee and trailside lunch. After getting dropped off at a remote location down lake, riders will ride roughly 40 miles of trail back to the venue. Limited to 30 riders. Sign up at the Redline Booth!

  • Try mountain unicycling with a ride lead by MUni legend Dave Krack. Butler Wobble will have unicycles available to demo.

2 pm: Brewers Grove Opens

  • Free craft beer samples provided by a host of nationwide breweries.
  • Must have legal ID and wristband. Drink responsibly.

paul1003 pm: Group Ride – Paul Component Engineering Presents Rays2Lake

  • Meeting At: Site 15.
  • Duration: 2hrs
  • Climb 800 feet from the lake to Allegrippis Ridge, then descend back down. The first thirty five riders return via a houseboat. Refreshments provided by Sly Fox Brewing Co. Must have ID and wristband.

5 pm: Beer School – Dirt Fest Presents Stewards of Beer.

  • Meeting At: Brewers Grove Tent in the expo
  • Learn about styles of beer from the Stewards of Beer. Only 30 spots. Sign-Up at the Dirt Rag Booth. No additional charge. Must have ID and wristband.

6:30 pm: Sustainable Trails In the Mid-Atlantic Schmooze & Cruise – $30

  • Meeting At: Registration Tent/Site 1
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Join us for food, drink and celebration of mountain biking in the Mid-Atlantic region. Includes light fair, adult beverages, and a brief presentation. Must be. Pre-registration required, sign up at the registration tent. All proceeds benefit the Raystown Mountain Bike Association!

  • A take on the Rays2Lake ride for teens. Climb out of the expo and gradually descend the trails back to the lake, then jump aboard the houseboat for a ride back to site 15. Register in advance at the Stone Mountain Adventures booth. Participants under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
